FAQs

I paid for a show but did not get a download link email, how come?

This is likely caused by a spam filter on your email program. We a currently trying to resolve this, but for the most part it is out of our hands. Please send an email to info[at]playedlastnight.com along with the sale confirmation number from PayPal and we will send you your download link right away.

"Invalid Stream" Error

We have discovered that MSN and AOL users are often getting a "invalid stream" when trying to download the file. Please try another browser when downloading.

What are FLAC files?

FLAC stands for Free Lossless Audio Codec, which is a compression algorithim for making the file smaller without losing any of the audio quality. It uses a lot more bandwidth, which is why we charge more. Please note that you must have a player that can handle FLAC files, ITunes does not play FLAC files. For more info, check out the following site: http://flac.sourceforge.net/features.html.

Once I complete my purchase, how do I get my music?

Once you have successfully paid for your show, you will receive an email that contains a unique URL that will take you to a web page that lists all of your available downloads. To download your show(s), you click the download link provided.

What file format will my music be delivered in?

Each download request generates a unique download package. These packages are zip files that may require third-party software to unpack. Most modern operating systems (Mac OS X, Win XP) will natively provide a means to unpack these files. Inside the zip file you will find a directory with the name of the show and inside of that directory will be each of the tracks as individual, unprotected MP3 files.
